I wasn’t sure I’d be able to find a station showing this here in Canada, and it figures that it would be playing right when I *should* be writing for NaNoWriMo, and I’ve read a LOT* of bad reviews on the show – but I’m going to watch it anyway, and be happy with it. Why? Because what other option do I have right now for a fantasy based tv series? Bad or not I’m going to enjoy it.

Anyhow, if you live in Canada, and have Rogers digital cable, you can find it on WNLO (channel 166 for me, not sure about everyone else) – hope everyone else out there managed to find it on too who was looking for it!

  1. HORRIBLE! BAD! HORRIBLE! HATED IT!

I don’t begrudge it as art, but when within the first 15 minutes of the show it had departed so far from the story in thebooks, I couldn’t handle it any more. I turned it off and deleted it from my DVR in the middle of Zedd’s explanation to Richard of who he was. I couldn’t stomach it.

I’m glad you liked it though. :-)

  2. hey guys, i live in toronto, but i don’t have more than plain rogers cable up to channel 60 and i have looked for all the channels station name like WPIX etc, but i can’t find any of them ….

    help?

    thanks.

  3. I went searching my Rogers site and found that ‘Legend of the Seeker’ is on WPIX (330) here in Ottawa, Canada from 4:00 – 5:00 P.M, Sunday 2 Nov, 2008.

  4. I’m from Ottawa and watched the 2 hour premier of Legend of the Seeker, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on WGN (532).
It was a great show. They’ve tried to loosely follow the first book, but I can’t imagine that they’ll stay true as there is so much story.
I’ve yet to find out when the next show is on. I’m hoping I can find out when the next episode airs.

    Loved the whole series.

Now they have to do Elizabeth Haydon’s ‘Rhapsody’ series.

  5. Yea…
I usually give actors time to grow on me ..unless they are already awesome…new ones get a fair chance (example :Fringe. The lady lead is completely awesome, and that show is the best new show this year)

I have my copy downloaded in Hi-Def and ready for viewing later today (headed to town to get Fallout 3), so, hopefully have some opinions myself come this Monday or Tuesday.

Sounds like I will enjoy it though…

    MUST HAVE FANTASY show!

  6. Just finished watching it, it was pretty good and I had a lot of just plain fun watching one of my favorite authors books come to life (not that my opinion matters in the least bit) I did think the actor playing Richard was quite horrible but I expect it will get better as the series goes on. Loved everything else about it, and I’m looking forward to the next episodes! Any idea if it’s always going to be a Saturday night thing or will it be switching days after the premier?

As a side note, it was really interesting to hear how names were pronounced, since I had some completely different in my head.

  7. Look at it this way…

Did anyone call Hercules, Xena, Buffy, etc,,,High Art?

    LOL

Nope, yet, look at their followings. Cult status will be key here. And how many Fantasy shows do we have? NONE.

Sam Raimi is cult status, Ted Raimi is cult (who will be in the show)…

Disney backing means cash and special effects, and the story is being watched by Goodkind, so it will be what we want it to be..

I personally think it will be fun. That is what I want.
