Are you curious about the population of EQ these days? Did you want to try out the latest progression server that opens on the 15th of this month? Well, SOE has been kind enough to activate closed accounts to give you that opportunity. My EQ account is currently active but it will be nice to poke around on my 2nd account which has been closed for some time. Anyone else plan on taking advantage of this? I have Station Access and I play EQ regularly but sporadically, if you see what I mean. I was playing several hours a week most of last year until EQ2X blew in and totally disrupted me (I played pretty much nothing but EQ2X from launch until Christmas and if it wasn’t for Rift that would probably not be changing much).
All the publicity for Fippy finally nudged me to log back into EQ and I’ve been touring my two dozen characters on their half-dozen servers this evening. I will make a character on Fippy and play there in the pre-Rift window, but really, much though I loved EQ in 2000 I think it’s even better now, so I’ll probably go on getting most of my EQ fix on the 2011 ruleset servers.
Definitely going to give the Fippy Darkpaw server a go. The timing of this can’t be better to give me an MMO to play until Rift launches.
