Down Goes a Kyklopse

I joined in with 87 others to take down this foe on the harmony server. It was a lot of fun and I was glad to participate. I also joined in a sermon group over at the Sklotopolis deed and have been working on raising my faith up. I left my character there for a few days 24/7 to provide .02 faith to other preachers, and I myself went from 40 to 52. One of my long term wurm goals has always been to reach 100 faith, but I don’t see that actually happening. As this is my Fo priest, I’ll be content with 70, which will allow me to cast genesis.

My vynora priest recently hit 70, and now I’m working on getting enchanted grass created with her.

I’ve also decided to join a very large village, something I probably would not have dreamed of doing in the past. We’ll see how that works out.

Christmas Baking

This year I wanted to do some Christmas baking with the kids – especially since covid has our holidays looking a lot different than normal. Our province has been pretty slack in restrictions but recently decided that the holidays will be restricted to immediate family only (except you can still go shopping with your extended family, eat at a restaurant, or do any number of other activities).

Anyway, we’ve made butter tarts, rice crispy treats with dates instead of marshmallow, a gingerbread village, and now we’ve made Christmas nougat. I wasn’t sure what to expect, I don’t think I’ve ever had nougat before – but this was simple and delicious. I’ll definitely be making it in the future.

Silver Bell Sweater Progress

I’m having a lot of fun knitting this Silver Bell Sweater (pattern found on Ravelry). It’s an oversized sweater that you would wear with a camisole under with a pair of nice jeans – perfect for the holidays at home. There’s 6″ of positive ease, so it should fit nice and large. I’m knitting it with an alpaca blend, and I know it will require some blocking, but I love the colour and I just love how it’s turning out so far. It is also a neat construction. You knit it from the bottom up, separating after the body to a front left / right panel and the back piece. The shoulders are joined with a 3 needle bind off which I still have to learn. I’m working on the second front piece now, then the back, then the sleeves, neck, and cuffs. I can’t wait to see the finished product!

New Pen – Complete!

I finally finished making bricks and fence bars for the new horse pen / farm field along the side of my deed. I’ve moved all of the animals over, and they seem to enjoy the larger space. I also got a new piebold pinto horse!

This deed on Independence is now basically “complete” – minus two buildings that I haven’t planned out yet. I finished the hanging bridges, I finished the fields and fences, all I really want to build is a church / temple for the priests to stay safe in, and perhaps a shipyard building of sorts. I haven’t planned anything yet, though. I want to build the temple in slate, and that’s proving problematic since my mine currently has zero slate. I was thinking of mining it on the mainland and bringing it all home. We’ll just have to see what I can find.

Happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself!
