Little Sock Arms (3)

I’ve got 50 more rows to knit (with a decrease every 5 rows) then I think the first sleeve will just need a ribbed cuff and and it will be completed! I’m looking forward to starting the second sleeve, hopefully this week. After that I believe all that’s left is the yoke / collar, and then this sweater for my kid will be officially completed.

Knitting this is a big deal, because it will actually be my first completed project of 2023. As much as I wanted to do a lot more knitting, life got in the way. Still, it’s better than nothing!

A VERY wet summer

This summer has probably been the wettest I remember. We’ve had rain on a constant basis, and when it rains we’re getting around 40mm each time. Most of my plants on the balcony have already withered and died due to too much water – but the basil plants? They’re thriving.

Something has been feasting on them (slightly) so tonight I harvested a bunch and turned it into delicious garlic pesto. The entire house smells amazing and I can’t wait to create a dish with it (probably chicken).

Time Flies..

Wow, it’s already almost September! I can hardly believe it. The past 10 days have been a complete blur. What have I been up to as far as gaming goes?

I’m taking a small break from WoW, mostly because there’s just not enough time in the day and out of all of the games I have available right now that’s the one I’m the least interested in. I’m sure I’ll wander back to it eventually, I always do.

FFXIV is still my main MMO this month, my bard is 86, and my husband has finally caught up to Endwalker, so we can play through it together. I’m quite excited about this.

Baldur’s Gate 3 – I’m still playing this (of course, aren’t we all) with two groups, one is my 4 person campaign (we just completed the ruins before the Goblin Village) and the other is a campaign I have ongoing with my husband. We’re in the Underdark in our campaign, and overall the game has just been an incredible amount of fun. I honestly can’t blather about it enough.

Idle Champions – yes, this idle game is still pretty high up my radar. The current season ends in 3 days, and there’s also an event that ends in 1 day. The event is Ahghariron’s Day, and while I’ve collected Lae’zel, Voronika, and Prudence, I still have a single variant that I can’t seem to defeat. I’m adamant about not spending any more than the cost of the season pass, but I really do also need to work on unlocking more Champions. The reason I can’t defeat this one is because 5/12 of my seats don’t have an alternate that I can use, and you can only use Champions who have an intelligence of over 13. It’s frustrating, to say the least.

That’s where I’m at so far in gaming, and I do also plan on going back through the month and filling in those Blaugust holes. I meant to be far more on top of things than I have been. Unfortunately, that’s just the way it goes.

As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself!

Happy 7th Anniversary

Wow, how has it been 7 years already! In that time we have moved four times, to three different provinces (British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Nova Scotia) all across Canada. We had two children (5 and 7 now), and we’ve had a handful of pets. I love my gaming partner just as much as when we first met and even though life is absolutely not easy, I know it is easier with him by my side.

Love you babe.

A Northern Leopard Frog!

This little cute frog was in our driveway feasting on all of the bugs that have showed up lately (thank you rain). It’s a northern leopard frog and apparently lives in grass / meadows / moss! I didn’t know frogs lived anywhere else besides lakes / water areas, so it was a bit of a surprise to see him out and about! They’re incredibly common, and it was just something that made my day a little bit more cheery.
