Now that I have my auction house mount (also known as Brutosaurus AKA LongBoi) I had to decide if I wanted to continue working on making gold (of course I do) whether or not I would track it (I decided to) and what I would end up doing with that gold if I decided to continue.
I did graphs of my sales back in November, but I didn’t blog about it (whewps) so I decided why not post it now. November was a GREAT month for glyph sales – which have slowed down a bit since then due to competition, but is still one of my main crafts. My greatest sales came from my ‘misc’ category, which is all transmog, pets, mounts, and supplies for crafts that I don’t actively participate in (such as ore, from blacksmithing). How did I do? Lets go over the results…
It has been FAR too long since I posted last, and I honestly don’t have much of an excuse except to say that things got busy. Really busy. On top of that, I got sad. Really sad. I’m hoping to change all of that, to try to pull myself out of the rut I have been in, and get back to things I love to do which includes posting on my site. I’m hoping to have a remodel done in the future and I’m hoping that it inspires me to write more often. A shame, because I had ALMOST posted every single day for all of 2019 until November. I was quite proud of that, too.
It’s the end of October and that means time to tally my totals on pivot tables to see where the money is coming from. I’ve earned almost a million gold in October alone – nice! So what were my big sellers?
Number one was my ‘misc’ category. I classify this as transmog, mounts, and any craft items that I don’t focus on (right now that includes ores, and hides). I made a grand total of 600,000 gold from that one category alone and couldn’t be more pleased.
Inscription did pretty well too, drawing in a total of 92,000 gold. Cooking brought in 67,000g, alchemy was 46,000g, tailoring 45,000g, and enchanting a wooping 111,000g – this doesn’t include any coin I earned from world quests, vendor sold items, or straight up coin that I farmed. It’s just sales.
At the end of week 6 I was sitting at 1,812,776 gold, having earned the most ever during that week, 357,057g.
It will be interesting to see how sales go now that the next expansion has been announced, the auction house changes in 8,3 and the level squash coming in Shadowlands.
