GW2 Goals

Just a simple list of things I’d like to work on and acomplish in GW2. No timeline for any of it, they’re just things to give me a bit of direction when I find myself floundering (which is often, there always seems like so much to do I never know which to actually work on).

  • Finish Living World Season 2, 3, and 4
  • Finish PoF
  • Unlock as many mounts as I can
  • Finish Heart of Thorns
  • Obtain a legendary weapon
  • Finish gearing up in ascended gear
  • Unlock the tiger backpack & mini

Picking Out Mount Skins

Yesterday ArenaNet announced a new promotion for GW2 where for 2400 gems you’d get a little bundle of goodies each Tuesday for four weeks. Each week you DIDN’T buy the bundle, the cost would go up slightly. The first bundle included a dye pack, a mini pack, and two mount skins to choose from.

Now I only have two mounts unlocked so far (the raptor and the springer) but I have high hopes of getting the rest unlocked over time. I absolutely could not pass up on the Starshell skin for the roller beetle mount even though I am no where near getting it.

I also picked out a skin for the skimmer mount, that’s one I should be able to get fairly soon.

What can I say, to quote Pixel One – “GW2 end game is Fashion Wars” – she’s completely right, and I love it.

Building a Bridge

I decided what my volcano island needs is a bridge that goes from the mainland of my deed over to the new island – and so yesterday I began a sandstone arched bridge. It uses a lot of components so it will be some time before it’s completed, but I’m glad the distance wasn’t as bad as I thought it was (bridges can span a max of 38 tiles, my bridge is barely 20). Eventually I’ll have a tunnel where the bridge ends on the island so that you can get to the interior without having to use the boat entrance.

Speaking of, I added a gold mine door to the entrance of the Quail Cafe that’s located inside, and it looks fantastic.

Once again Wurm Unlimited never fails to impress me.

After the Update

I spent some time updating my merchants and I have to say I am absolutely LOVING the changes to priests. Since linking is no longer required for Lifetransfer and Mindstealer, the difficulty of these spells has gone down, and as you can see by my casts on the weapons I’ve managed to get a few 90+ for the first time ever.

I’m still doing sermons over at Wrecked’s place on Novus, my Libila priest has almost reached 100 faith. I never in a million years expected that, when I brought her to sermons she was barely over 50. I do already have a Fo and Vynora priest at 100, but one more sure doesn’t hurt.

I’ve also picked up a new deed on Novus, but that’s a post for another time. Happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself!

A Weekend with Anno 1800

I’ve never played a game that had a season pass before, and I’ve never considered getting one – until now. I spent most of the weekend playing Anno 1800 getting my town to the artisan rank. According to uplay I’m 28% of the way through the campaign, and I’ve got just over 10h played. Of course a lot of that is me AFK or rebuilding things I didn’t like, but overall I’m still enjoying things a great amount, and I’m seriously considering grabbing the season pass.

You?
