3/12 skeins down! Once I get 6 done up I’ll start decreases. I’m hoping it I just stick to my 1 skein a day I’ll get it done without too much hassle. It’s quite large and heavy now, and absolutely warm and smushy! I can’t wait to use it.
My mother in law sent me 12 skeins of velvet chunky yarn, so I decided to crochet a quick C2C (corner to corner) blanket with it. I’m crocheting 1 skein a day, so it should be done in 12 days. It doesn’t take long at all because it’s so bulky. It’s incredibly warm and soft, I can’t wait until it’s done!
Another update! The blanket is coming along well. So far I have started all 10 colours, and now it’s time to repeat them all once. I think decreases will happen once that’s done, we’ll just have to see. Hopefully I have enough yarn for it all. It also will need some blocking since my stitches are not super even, but for just picking up crochet, I’m quite happy.
I’ve taken a completely hands off approach to gold making this week because I just haven’t had the time to be in game. Most of the days I didn’t even log in, half of them I didn’t bother putting my stock back up. That means sales have taken a significant slide downwards – but gold is still coming in, even more than my daily goal of roughly 14k.
After playing so hard the previous week (see the 1.6 million gold gain) I decided to step back and just relax. Transmog and pets have been good sellers this week, a few going each day. I didn’t bother restocking any of my supplies, and I haven’t sniped since before 8.3 because it’s just too slow.
While gold is flowing like water for a lot of the bigger goblins, I’m completely happy wading in the kiddie pool. I’ve got over 3.5 million liquid on me, and that’s more than enough for anything I might want to do in the immediate future.
It’s important to take breaks, and I highly encourage it for mental health reasons. Burn out is real, and you shouldn’t feel bad about walking away for a bit. As always, I’ll wander back, it might just take a little bit of time this round. I’ve been playing WoW as my main game of choice for quite a few years now and while I don’t see that changing any time soon, it might have to share my game time with a few other things (like FFXIV, and LotRO).
As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself!
I finally managed to download and patch all of LotRO, created new characters over on the Landroval server (currently I have a level 15 hunter, a 10 guardian, a 7 lore-master, and a warden) and joined up with a handful of Combat Wombat and friends from twitter. At level 15 you get the ability to purchase a house, and since I had a bunch of gold stored up on my level 44 minstrel on another account I decided to send it over and allow my hunter the ability to purchase a nice fancy home.
The location isn’t the greatest, I had to place trees in my yard to give it a bit more of a natural feel, but it’s close to the stables which makes me pretty happy, and it’s also close to the Kinship house, which has a bunch of crafting tables!
Housing has changed since last I played. Not in the method (it still uses pre-placed hooks that you drop furniture onto) but in the number of hooks, and their placements. My home used to have only a few hooks for furniture, and it looks more natural now, you can place things close to one another. It’s not the free moving housing that I love from EQ2, but it will do.
I’ve picked up some crafting on everyone, and I can’t wait to get started on that. I sent over a bunch of supplies from alts and everyone should be pretty situated now. We’ll see how long this lasts!
As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself!
