Sales Trickling In

I’ve taken a completely hands off approach to gold making this week because I just haven’t had the time to be in game. Most of the days I didn’t even log in, half of them I didn’t bother putting my stock back up. That means sales have taken a significant slide downwards – but gold is still coming in, even more than my daily goal of roughly 14k.

After playing so hard the previous week (see the 1.6 million gold gain) I decided to step back and just relax. Transmog and pets have been good sellers this week, a few going each day. I didn’t bother restocking any of my supplies, and I haven’t sniped since before 8.3 because it’s just too slow.

While gold is flowing like water for a lot of the bigger goblins, I’m completely happy wading in the kiddie pool. I’ve got over 3.5 million liquid on me, and that’s more than enough for anything I might want to do in the immediate future.

It’s important to take breaks, and I highly encourage it for mental health reasons. Burn out is real, and you shouldn’t feel bad about walking away for a bit. As always, I’ll wander back, it might just take a little bit of time this round. I’ve been playing WoW as my main game of choice for quite a few years now and while I don’t see that changing any time soon, it might have to share my game time with a few other things (like FFXIV, and LotRO).

As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself!

So You Don’t Know where to Farm?

Here are some links I end up giving out to people – a lot. If you want to farm, but have no idea where, check out these posts. Yes, they’re a bit out dated, but the farms are still good (most of them). Are they the best gph out there (gold per hour) no, they are certainly not. BUT they are something new for you, and a good way to practice.

The best farms are going to be farms you find yourself. SOMEONE has to find a farm in order for it to turn into a-big-deal – YOU could be that someone. Get out there. Kill stuff.

Why Track Sales/Gold?

A frequent question I get is – why bother tracking my earnings. Especially now that I have my Brutosaur. There are a few answers I have, but honestly the main reason is just because I find it fascinating. Making gold in world of warcraft is just plain fun. I like knowing what I’m spending, where gold is going, and where it’s coming from. It’s a great sense of accomplishment for me to see the graphs and charts and earnings.

Road to 5 Million for the Ultra (Ultra) Casual (Update)

I moved my horde character over to Dalaran – and put about 100 items for sale. The crafting supplies that I carried over all sold, but not much else has. I also haven’t played hardly at all since I moved though, and like I said in a previous post, to make money you need to be at least somewhat active.

Part of the reason is because I just bought a volcano island in Wurm Unlimited, am also playing Wurm Online, try to spend time in a random game once a week, and I’m taking classes, while being a full time mom to two kids who use up pretty much 110% of my time.

Am I doing too much?

Probably. Something will probably have to give but for now I’m not sure what, and I don’t feel too bad so I’m going to keep juggling all of these balls until I can’t any more. Goals? Running some solo raids (older ones), getting into the BFA raids (I’ve only done the first one), monitoring sniper more frequently (I’m supposed to have scheduled game days but I keep flubbing because right now Wurm Unlimited is more interesting than other games I’m playing due to of course the volcano island) and .. crafting. Poor, neglected, crafting. When BFA released I was just so turned off from the changes that had happened that I couldn’t get back into the swing of things and I’d like to change that.

We’ll see how it goes. For now, I’m still on track at 1.5 million gold. Will it last? CAN it last? Who knows. I’m hoping for some happy mailboxes soon.

As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself!
